Albany Guardian Society’s mission is to improve the lives of older
adults in the Capital Region, their families and their caregivers,
through information, education, research, and collaboration.

Supporting older adults with expertise,
information and education

Our foundation was built by a visionary group of women who recognized a need and took action, emerging from the women’s suffrage and temperance movements.

We have always prioritized adapting to the changing landscape of elder care and integrating technological innovations to provide top-notch services to our community. Through our commitment to offering valuable information, educational resources, encouraging research, embracing technological advancements, and fostering collaboration we strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults.

As Margaret Mead wisely said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” This sentiment rings true in the work of Albany Guardian Society, as we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in Albany, New York, and beyond.
